Traditional Moccasins - In Store Workshop
Join leather artist Sheila of Magpie Chiq, in making a pair of traditional moccasins.
In this workshop you will make your own moccasin pattern from scratch, cut and sew sheep shearling, fur, and leather. This is a five day workshop.
It is helpful if you already know how to sew, but even if you don't you will still have fun, possibly learn a new skill or tap into a hidden talent, meet new friends and have a lot of laughs.

Leather - bison
Sheep shearling
Fur Cuff
Materials to use in workshop:
Sinew - many colours to choose from
Sewing needles
Pattern clips (also available to purchase)
Scissors
Knives
Pens
Paint pens
Wood burning tools
Day 1 - Tracing foot and creating pattern to fit your foot size. Selecting, tracing, cutting, and clipping shearling. Sewing lining.
Day 2 - Finish sewing lining. Tracing and cutting leather pieces. Clipping and sewing leather sole.
Day 3 - Wood burning or painting on leather.
Day 4 - Sewing leather, inserting lining, adding fur cuff and sewing all pieces together.
Day 5 - Finish sewing leather, inserting lining, adding fur cuff and sewing all pieces together.
