Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at PoCo Inspired.
Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Shipment processing time

Although we try our best to process your order as soon as possible
We are a small family owned and operated store
We are a bricks and mortar operation
Our focus is IN STORE customer service

We are NOT Amazon
Never have been, and don't try to be

We are usually pretty good at getting things done in a reasonable amount of time
But some times we get busy

We all wear many hats
And do not have people dedicated to just getting orders ready

Orders are normally processed within 2-3 business days

We do not generally process orders on weekends, closed days, non regular business hours, or holidays

FOR EXAMPLE:

If you place and order ---
Friday at 10pm  ---  ( we are closed at that time )
Or even say... 4 pm - on any day of the week
It may not be processed until the following business day 

Or in the case of a weekend, Monday or even the next day if it is a long weekend
Then your order will not be processed until at least Tuesday
Based on the above criteria

Orders will probably get processed in the afternoon some time, because
we don't even open until 11 am, and we usually have customers in the store at that time

Once it is picked and checked, and packed
It still must be taken to the post office to be shipped

So probably not until the NEXT afternoon at the earliest


This is why we say...
Orders are normally processed within 2-3 business days

Usually we do pretty well
But sometimes, it can take a little longer

THEN 
Other things can happen
Something you ordered could be out of stock...
In which case, we try to contact you for a possible substitution

That alone can take some time

Orders are processed in the order that they are received, and within the confines of the above criteria.

Because we operate a bricks & mortar retail store, any items that you see online are taken from our current inventory on the retail floor.

Our in store customers take precedence over online orders

This means that the items that you order MAY become unavailable to you because someone may have bought the same item in person, in the store on a weekend.
And/or - if someone else purchased the same online, earlier than you did, then their order is processed first.
This may mean that the item you ordered is then out of stock.
Especially if there is low stock availability.

Sometimes, someone will even come in to the store and buy out all of the stock on hand.

Substitutions
If your purchased item(s) experience an unforeseen stock shortage, we will attempt to contact you so that we can substitute with a similar item.  If we cannot contact you, we may ship a substitute the item with a similar colour/size/design.

We may contact you to see if a substitution will work for you.
or
We may simply issue a refund for the item (s) depending on availability.
or
We may refund you for that item.

If we or the shipping company are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed.
This is beyond our control.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses

PoCo Inspired ships to addresses within Canada and the U.S.



Shipment confirmation & Order tracking ( if applicable )

You may or may not receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s)
( if applicable ).

The tracking number should be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

PoCo Inspired is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order.
All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

PoCo Inspired is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping.
If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.


Undeliverable

While we will do our best to work with you.

PoCo Inspired is not responsible for any undeliverable items.

If a package if undeliverable for ANY reason and sent back to us, we may refund your original purchase price,
But we WILL deduct the shipping cost from your total.

When this happens, we are charged shipping BOTH ways.

Shipping charges are NOT refundable.

So to be clear, we WILL deduct the shipping charges incurred BOTH ways, from your refund.

It is 100% YOUR responsibility to ensure that all the shipping and payment information is correct

We use the Shopify system
It relies on other sub systems, such as an auto fill address component

Because it is automated, there is always the chance that if you are not careful, it could be wrong

Does not qualify

While the majority of our items count towards our free shipping, some do not qualify.

Oversized items do NOT qualify.
Oversized items are expensive to ship.
This is due to the shipping charged by shipping providers, NOT us.
Most of the time you will see the oversized shipping charges explained on the page containing the oversized item.

SOMETIMES one may slip through and get missed.
Usually though, it is still caught by our shipping system.
So it will still be added at checkout.

Subscription boxes do NOT qualify.
Unless you chose a one time only option, the boxes are a recurring charge.
The shipping ( which ever method you chose ) is part of the subscription.
It cannot be separated from the rest of the order.
They are usually shipped separately.

Please know that this is all automated.
And as hard as we try, nothing is ever perfect, and always a work in progress.

If you have an order that combines any of the items that do not qualify under the free shipping

We MAY at our discretion - and only when possible - combine shipping and possibly refund some of the shipping charges.

We are a small family owned business.
We do not drop ship our products.
We do not have a huge warehouse.

Each order is hand picked by a staff member, then double checked by different staff member.
Although we always try our hardest to be accurate, we are all human, mistakes do occasionally happen.

Please check your order for accuracy when you receive it.

Our 14 day return / refund policy begins from the date you receive the order.
